At Marta Stewart www.marthastewart.com you can find great art and decorating tips.
This Non-toxic Finger paint is a great solution when you want to do some artwork together with your kids. I am sure they will find it just as fun as my kids thought it was.
You should have seen the smiles on their happy faces while preparing the paint: “Are we painting with sugar????”
Stir 4 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 cup cornstarch together; add 2 cups of cold water, and heat over medium heat until the mixture is thick (the mixture will further thicken as it cools). Divide into four or more containers, and add food coloring as desired.
Have fun - be creative!

Hex 5DDD5D
This is the new color on my daughter's walls.
It is called Feel Good Green and represents the web color Hex 5DDD5D.
A hex triplet is a six-digit, three-byte, hexadecimal number used in HTML, CSS, SVG and other computing applications, to represent colors. The bytes represent the red (R), green (G) and blue (B) components of the color.
The color above is RGB: 93, 221, 93.
It is a south facing room with the sun lightening the room from the early morning until late afternoon. One wall (west) is left white and the combination with the green gives the room a bright, happy... Feel Good atmosphere.
Now we are just waiting for the new furniture to arrive.

Tiny tiny little square
I am redecorating my daughters room and the painter is coming today for me to choose the color of the walls.
As per my daughters request green is the color. Now here comes the issue: There seem to be thousands of different shades of green.
Why are choosing from color palettes so stressful?
I work with colors every day and I love them but am I the only one that find it difficult to choose the right color looking at a tiny tiny little square? Specially when the painter always says that "the color will not look the same on the wall"...
